Wrist Motions – Passing Through Neutral

Practice each of the four motions made at the wrist. Try to return to NEUTRAL after each one.

Wrist Flexion

Start in Neutral

Bend your wrist down, pointing your fingertips towards the floor. This is flexion.

Return To Neutral

Wrist Extention

Start in Neutral

Bend your wrist up, pointing your fingertips towards the ceiling in a “Stop” motion. This is an extention.

Return To Neutral

Wrist Radial Deviation

To perform this isolated motion, place your palm down on a table or your lap.  

Start in neutral.

Slide your hand sideways in the direction of your thumb. This is radial deviation.

Return to neutral.

Wrist Ulnar Deviation

Start in neutral.

Slide your hand sideways in the direction of your pinky finger. This is ulnar deviation.

Return to neutral.
